"But I gave myself again to that fire, threw myself into it, into him, and let myself burn."

Feyre Archeron is the youngest of the Archeron sisters, after her family fell into debt from a bad business venture by her father which left them in a state of poverty and hardship. Feyre took it upon herself to hunt for food as they had little to trade and were on the verge of starving, though her family didn't seem to care about the risks she took to put food on their table, as like every mortal she feared what lingers on beyond the forest. When on a hunt she comes across a deer that is being pursued by a wolf, she kills both the deer and the wolf, the deer to feed herself and her family, and the wolf to trade.

However, the wolf was not what it seemed and the price for killing it was more than Feyre could comprehend, being dragged from her family by a fae beast as she had murdered a faerie who was in the form of a wolf. When awakening in a forever spring court the opposite of the bone-chilling winter she was in at home, her captor the owner of the manor, with his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding even more than his piercing green eyes suggest.

As time progresses Feyre finds herself becoming settled in life in her new forever Spring home and finds herself becoming more drawn to Tamlin, the golden-haired, piercing green-eyed captor. However, sometimes when all seems right, things start coming out from ‘under the mountain’ changing everything. Will Tamlin and Feyre’s bond continue to grow? Or will something in the shadows show Feyre her true destiny?

I loved reading this series! Sarah J Maas has such a magical way of transporting her readers into another world. Creating characters that have so many layers makes it so easy for you to become attached. Love, love, love!
