Keira Kilgore is the red-headed CEO of Seven Sinners Distillery, which distils Irish Whiskey in New Orleans. She is up to her eyes in debt after buying her father out and learns that her late husband added to that debt to the one and only Lachlan Mount. The king of the underworld in New Orleans. He is intense and powerful, and his two options for repayment are to hand over Seven Sinners or repay the debt in the form of her body.

I read this back in 2018, and have re-read it multiple times as well since then. I found Lachlan and Kiera’s relationship to be one of the more realistic reactions to being in forced proximity and the building of their relationship with the events through this book. Having Irish heritage myself, I love Keira’s links and how her character is linked and proud of her Irish roots. Finally, Lachlan…Lachlan Mount 🫠 this man! Back in 2018 made me melt, and start my love story with morally grey men.

This book is action-packed, and the whole series is a world that you can get lost in and easy to immerse in Meghan March’s universe. Her books are easy ones that you need to sit down and savour over a weekend, uninterrupted. All of her books are universally interconnected which I love as you always have an understanding of the world you are reading into.

The books in this series do have a cliffhanger ending, but all books of the trilogy are out so there is no waiting for the next book release.
