The dark, underlying plot adds a unique twist, giving the story a more intense and compelling aesthetic that sets it apart from typical sports romances. Max and Rory’s chemistry is undeniable, and the way they navigate their internal struggles between their deep connection and their individual priorities adds depth and complexity to their relationship. Their journey is filled with emotional highs and lows, making it a truly engaging read. I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romance that goes beyond the surface and dives into the intricacies of love and ambition.
